Who We Are

The Kosovo International Summer Academy (KSA) was founded by Labinot Hajdari and Judita Krasniqi, whose vision was to create an international platform that empowers young people through education, dialogue, and intercultural exchange. The Academy is the intellectual creation of its founders, who retain all founding and ownership rights related to its concept, identity, and development. The Kosovo Center of Diplomacy (KCD) currently serves as the implementing organization responsible for the administration and delivery of the program, while the Academy’s vision and strategic direction continue to be led by its founders.

Inspired by experienced scholars and practitioners, the Kosovo International Summer Academy was established with the purpose of developing a new generation of global leaders equipped with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives needed to contribute to economic, political, and social development, as well as peacebuilding and international cooperation.

The Kosovo International Summer Academy offers students from around the world the opportunity to engage in intellectually challenging academic work alongside peers who share a passion for learning, leadership, and global engagement. Through an interdisciplinary approach, participants gain insights from internationally recognized academics, diplomats, policymakers, and practitioners while exploring contemporary global challenges.

The Academy aims to strengthen cross-cultural understanding by bringing together local and international students who are eager to broaden their perspectives, embrace new challenges, grow intellectually, and exchange ideas and cultural values. By fostering meaningful dialogue among participants from diverse backgrounds, KSA promotes mutual respect, international friendship, and lasting professional networks.

The mission of the Kosovo International Summer Academy is to empower young people through education, dialogue, and international exchange, inspiring them to become responsible leaders and active contributors to peace, democracy, and sustainable development.

While rigorous academics remain at the heart of the program, an equally important component of the Academy is the unique social and intercultural experience created by bringing together talented students from across the globe. This combination of academic excellence, cultural exchange, and lifelong networking has become one of the defining characteristics of the Kosovo International Summer Academy.
