Labinot Hajdari
Founder / Executive Director

Labinot Hajdari takes the role of founder and Executive Director of Kosovo International Summer Academy. He is also co – founder and Vice Director of the Kosovo Center of Diplomacy. Labinot was the Lead Editor for the Europe and Balkan region at the Czech News Agency Mr. Hajdari was also co-founder and Program Director of the Preparing Global Leaders Institute. Mr. Hajdari is also a freelance journalist, writing on local and international politics and diplomacy. Labinot completed his Master’s program at the South East European University in Macedonia, where he received a Master’s degree in Diplomacy Studies (2011-2013). He has received his Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration(2003-2007). Mr. Hajdari works also as International Relations Officer at the Rectorate of the University of Prishtina. He is also coordinator of a regional project ‘’Build Bridges, Not Walls: The role of University in Peacebuilding’’, a regional project supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, implemented by the Norwegian Helsinki Committee. In 2014, Mr. Hajdari was appointed as Secretary of Local Organization of the 1st Itinerant Summer University in the Balkans “Accession to the European Union and identity of the Balkans” French-German-Balkanic’’, an internacional project implemented in cooperation between Franco-German University, Université Paris Ouest-Nanterre-La Défense (France), Universität Münster (Germany) and University of Prishtina, Kosovo.


Prof.Dr.Ibrahim Gashi
Academic Director

Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Gashi is Academic Director of Kosovo International Summer Academy. He holds PhD in History and International Relations from University of Prishtina and University of Graz (2000-2003). Prof.Dr. Gashi is currently professor at the Department of Political Science, University of Prishtina (UP), where he teaches subjects: History of International Relations and Foreign Policy and Diplomacy, etc. He held several leading positions in the UP, such as head of Department of Political Science, Member of Management Board of University of Prishtina, and Spokesman of the University of Prishtina. From 2012 to 2014 he was Rector of the University of Prishtina. Professor Gashi was active in Kosovo political scene from 2006 – 2012. From 2006 to 2012 he was Vice President of New Kosova Alliance (AKR) political party. From 2007 to 2011 he was elected member of the Assembly of Kosovo, and deputy speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo 2007-2011 for AKR and member of the Presidency of the Assembly and a member of the Parliamentary Committee of Foreign Affairs. Professor Gashi was first political advisor and head of cabinet for the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli (during his Presidency); Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo May 2011- August 2012. Since 2013 Professor Gashi is member of Academic Board of the Diplomatic Academy of Kosovo. During the period of 2000-2012, he has been a research associate in several universities in Europe and the U.S where he took part in various research visits as well as published scientific papers related to the history of diplomacy, nationalism and international relations, in English, German and Albanian language. In addition to the research area, Prof. Gashi was part of the ‘Fulbright Scholar Program’. Prof. Dr. Gashi has been invited to participate as a lecturer in several popular European and American universities, including: University of Graz (2000-2003), Arizona State University (2003), London School of Economics and Political Sciences (2004-2005), University of South East Europe (2006) and University of Texas (2009).

Judita Krasniqi
Program Coordinator

Judita Krasniqi is Program Coordinator of Kosovo International Summer Academy. She obtained her Master Degree in International Relations, European Studies and Area Studies, graduated at the Institute of International Relations of University of Warsaw, Poland, and her second MA in Human Rights and Democracy at University of Sarajevo and University of Bologna. From 2013-2015 she was a full degree Erasmus Mundus Scholarship holder. Previously Judita has studied Political Science at Faculty of Philosophy and Law Faculty in University of Prishtina. During her Bachelor Studies, Judita has been an intern at the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, respectively Committee for Education, Culture, Youth, Sports, Public Administration, Local Governing and Media and also she has been an intern at Diplomatic Academy in Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo. She has been engaged in humanitarian work with different domestic and international NGOs in Kosovo. Her field of study is more concentrated in Diplomacy, Decision Making, Human Rights and Conflict Resolutions.

Granit Brajshori
Program Assistant

Granit Brajshori is a student in Master degree in European Integration and Public Administration field. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in University of Prishtina. Mr. Brajshori has participated in numerous trainings and conferences that have treated conflict resolution, intercultural understanding, critical thinking and academic writing, etc. Granit has also been part of some NGO’s where he was engaged with analyzing the changes in election rules, writing the reaction memorandum for criteria’s for new municipalities, etc. Granit is conscientious, responsible, very creative and thoughtful speaker

Yll Muriqi
Alumni Relations Officer

Yll Muriqi is a master student in Public Administration and Diplomacy. Yll has received his Bachelor’s degree in Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Political Science in University of Prishtina (2010 – 2013). He works as development, planning and coordination officer in Trainkos ( Kosovo Railway’s). He has participated in numerous trainings and conferences related to leadership, diplomacy, media, etc.

Tahir Lushi
Marketing and PR

Mr. Tahir Lushi received his Master Degree at the University of Siegen, Germany, in the program “Roads to Democracy(ies)”, which is an interdisciplinary, international and research-oriented Master of Arts programme that combines methods and approaches from history, political science and sociology. He received a scholarship for his master studies from Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the main political foundation in Germany. Tahir won an “Erasmus +” scholarship for an exchange semester at the University of Coimbra, in Portugal, from February to July 2015. He has a Bachelor on Political Science (2013), from the University of Prishtina, Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Political Science.

Mr.Lushi has been an intern at Diplomatic Academy in Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Department for Europe and EU, July – September 2014. From 2013 to 2014 he was an investigative journalist at the daily newspaper “Zeri”, in Prishtine, Kosovo, covering the security section.
